SCUBA STOVE AND FENCE

The Scuba® Stove is the smaller of our two models of wood burning hot tub heater, but still has a great heat output of 60,000 BTUs/hour. It is generally used for tubs of 5′ diameter or less, but is still capable of raising the temperature of our most popular hot tub size, the 6×3 with 470 gallons, by 15 degrees per hour. A significant part of the heating capacity of the stove is due to its aluminum body which conducts heat 16 times faster than stainless steel.

The Scuba® Stove is powder coated to protect it from minerals in water. Even the highest marine grade aluminum, which is fine in salt water, is susceptible to penetrative corrosion by calcium and magnesium which are naturally occurring in many water supplies. Without the powder coat protection, water that has even moderate levels of calcium or magnesium can eat through unprotected aluminum in a year or two!

The firebox of the Scuba® Stove can easily accommodate standard cut firewood (length 16″). The firebox will hold firewood of up to 21″ in length flat on the bottom and up to 31″ on the diagonal. The latter measurement is largely for illustrative purposes as firewood isn’t generally placed in that manner.
